Since the Weekly Photo Challenge is to be discontinued, I thought I should put in an entry this week. I had no idea when starting my blog that I would enjoy the WordPress Weekly Challenge so much. I will miss it, but I will just have to be brave and jump into some of the other photo challenges every now and then. Autumn has finally arrived. April was our hottest April on record at 4.9C above the April average, beating April 2017’s record as the hottest April on record. To date, May has been relatively mild, except for one day where it was the coldest May day since the mid ’70s. Read more
WordPress Daily Prompt — Guilty
This post is for Martha, who is currently recovering from hip surgery. Her recovery is progressing satisfactorily but slowly. Martha misses her dogs who are being boarded at the moment. The trouble is when you are recovering from illness, you have a lot of time to think. This can be good but it can also be a bit tedious, when activity is required to clear the head and ease the mind. WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge — Liquid
The theme for the WordPress Weekly Challenge theme is “liquid”. In responding to the Challenge, my main criterion was that the focus of the photo should be on the water/liquid rather than on the other elements within the photo. I have chosen four very different photos taken by various members of my family, that I think meet this criterion. I also wanted to post the photos largely unedited. The lovely Pauline from Living in Paradise has invited me to take part in a 3-day Quote Challenge. She has invited me to do this because of my self-confessed untidy mind and interesting viewpoints. I think this is code for being a renegade. As I mentioned to Pauline when she invited me to take part, I can barely remember the days of the week let alone any meaningful quotes. I don’t normally do challenges, but this is only three days, and well, how hard can it be to come up with one quote per day?
