This post is dedicated to my little dog, Ama, who is not well. So far we know that she has copper storage disease but not how bad it is or whether we can mitigate it. I’ve not had much time for blogging lately as we’ve had a lot of medical appointments and I’ve been researching treatments, including low copper diets. It helps to be informed when talking to veterinary specialists. It also gives me something to do while I worry. Read more

This is my response to the Ragtag Daily Prompt — Fluffy.
I promised myself I would cut back to one post a week. The weather is warming up so I need to catch up on some of my art projects. But I couldn’t resist this Ragtag Prompt as it is my dog’s nickname. So without further ado, here is my favourite Fluffy.

Fluffy’s other name is Makea. Makea means sweet in Finnish. Fluffy is a Finnish Lapphund (Suomenlapinkoira). The breed has its origins as a reindeer herder of the Sami people.
