Dori and Cass were bursting with excitement. One prick could ruin it all. A frightening prospect.

Keep safe, ladies and gentlemen.

In life that is all it takes to ruin a good time, one prick.
A very well told tale!

It foreshadows much. Perhaps some thorny breach.

Yes, indeed. They’re on the edge. Someone could get hurt.

The whole situation could blow up. Or not, as the case may be.

I enjoyed the comments as much as the story! (I’ll be sure to stay away from sharp objects.)

Thank you and no comment.
Btw, I don’t suppose you were troubled about all those emissions? Probably not as bad as plane travel.

You mean in the hot air balloon? They’re not widely used. I must admit I hadn’t thought about it. I have been on two hot air balloon rides in my life and, considering the price, that seems excessive. So I guess I don’t ponder their contributions to carbon emissions very deeply. Perhaps it’s a new area for campaigning.

I agree that there other areas of a higher priority and maybe hydrogen will fix the problem anyway.

Haha! So clever. On seeing this was a story, I’d put your post aside for later, as I thought I’d need a long time to read it. But you gave us a whole saga in three perfect sentences, one image.
