Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.
I’m a bit stuck for words, so let’s get straight to the song. Such a versatile one. Perhaps I’ve already had this song? I can’t remember. Anyway, stay calm – although admittedly that’s a bit difficult when Rome burns.

Kind Regards.
Tracy.
Good choice

Thank you, Sheree. It was a hard choice with at least half a dozen possibilities excluded as it is not my place to lecture.

Excellent. The heat is about to kill me, Tracy.

I’m so sorry about that, Lois. Stay cool, my friend.

Well ventilated facility this, and a view too… Would’ve been excellent to cope with the heat if it wasn’t for the corrugated iron. 😀

If memory serves me correctly, Dries, there was a tree nearby to provide shade. 🙂

And leaves!

Leaves essential. 🙂 We also have trees called paperbarks. None of those there though.

Leonard Cohen wrote that there is “ A crack in every thing that’s how the light gets in.” I like Tom Jones and the Cardigans singing “Burning down the house.” It is a new version to me. Tracy, I suggest Leonard Cohen Anthem live in London on YouTube.

Great suggestion, Sid. I loved it.
The Cardigans and Tom Jones did a good job on that cover.

Interesting bit of synchronicity here. I can’t tell you the number of times in the last couple of weeks I have said to colleagues, “I am going down in flames here.”

Feels that way sometimes, Liz, but I have great faith in you.

I like your idea of song Friday Tracy. It adds variety to the site. I’ve just begun a series of songs from musicians who are no longer with us.

I haven’t heard Tom Jones in a long time – I like this collaboration with The Cardigans. And I hear you.
Hope it is a better week ahead.

Thank you. Sarah.
BTW, I have been visiting your blog using my phone. I am completely unable to comment or like when I access posts via my phone. I think it is because I’ve got no spare memory left on that device. Rest assured though that I am still loving you. 🙂

Aww – that’s so sweet, Tracy! Thank you for letting me know, and incidentally letting me know why sometimes people don’t seem to receive my comments either!! Damn! Who knew it was my spare memory on the phone was so low?! And here I was blaming it all on the internet gods! LOL!
Love you too and hope all is well!
