It’s actually a camellia, Pauline. I think the photo was taken a couple of years ago. When it used to rain. Now instead of rain, we get enormous hail, even bigger than golf balls. The camellia plant is much reduced in size. My garden is shredded. Sounded like someone was bashing the house with multiple cricket bats. But we are fine. It could have been worse.
Beautiful camellia, Tracy. Oddly, the white camellia in the back yard has already bloomed and the red in the front garden is just now getting ready. Course we had a frost last night, so flowering is up in the air….. Are the fires out now?
What a beautiful rose and especially as it is dusted with raindrops, but hope the hail hasn’t shredded it and hope you are ok.

Perhaps your camellia knows something you don’t know, Lois. Still a few fires around, but they are under control. Hopefully they will stay that way.

Beautiful image and words Tracy. I’m sorry to hear about the hail. The garden will recover, but I’m sure you’re feeling a bit shredded too.

Thank you, Su. The feeling is hopeless. Nevermind, I’ll get over it.

I tell myself that too; but in reality I just keep putting one foot in front on the other, trying to focus on my tiny bit of the world.
