      1. That is an interesting irony because Roy Rogers, the singing cowboy also had a palomino called Trigger. When Trigger died Roy Rogers had his horse stuffed. Roy Rogers sang, “A Cowboy needs a horse.”

  1. I think my kids would have been very happy to see you take this abandoned horse home. They’re at the age when personification is a huge part of daily life. Each stuffed animal, plant, and rock has feelings, a name, and a personality. 🙂

  2. Some people and animals like napping in trees. Keeps ’em safe from the other critters.Me? I’d be afraid of rolling over while I dozed.

I can totally understand why you’d want to take him home and let him graze in the backyard.

      1. Wow, a handmade bed by your dad sounds cool. I am doing a vintage, rescue stuff, recycle, upcycle blog hop on cactuscatz.com on saturdays. if you have a photo of the bed, that would be great to add to the linkup if you’re interested.

      2. Yeah, it’s so much easier now. My dad was in the military and we were stationed overseas so I guess it was different. A lot of families who were stationed overseas took pics so they could send them back to their families stateside. My dad was into taking b&w photos for awhile. We don’t have many pics from his family in the states though. Both of my parents came from poor families so there’s nothing of them until they were in their 20s. Now it costs nothing to take pics except for the initial cost of the camera/phone. Really different.
