This is my response to the Ragtag Daily Prompt of 30 June 2018 — Fluke. Read more
Ah, June. I can’t believe we are already half way through the year. Winter is not a time that I particularly enjoy. It’s cold. It’s grey, and quite often miserable. Just to prove that it does get cold in Australia, I headed out on a particularly frigid day to one of our city’s parks. Rain had been threatening all day, but no sooner had I got out of my car and pulled out my camera, then the sun asserted itself in all its Winter glory. Read more
This is my response to the Ragtag Daily Prompt of 21 June 2018 — Italian.
Some of you may know that I have recently joined a Bush Poetry group. As this month’s theme for my Group is “Italian” and as I’ve only so much time, I thought “Italian” would make a good Ragtag Daily Prompt as well (it’s my day to be the Prompter). WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge — Liquid
The theme for the WordPress Weekly Challenge theme is “liquid”. In responding to the Challenge, my main criterion was that the focus of the photo should be on the water/liquid rather than on the other elements within the photo. I have chosen four very different photos taken by various members of my family, that I think meet this criterion. I also wanted to post the photos largely unedited. What do you think is the main focus of each of the photos? Read more

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge — Prolific
I had decided not to enter this week’s photo challenge, but changed my mind today as I had the very good fortune to visit the amazingly beautiful Australian National Botanic Gardens. To my delight, there were many plants in full bloom. My little phone camera struggled with some of the smaller, more delicate flowers, but it absolutely loved the banksias. There is such a huge variety of banksias, and many were flowering prolifically. I hope you like them as much as my camera did. Read more
