Just another corny love poem.

Love is a place.
The place where I belong.
Safe in your arms, the warmth of your smile.
The place that I call home.
Love is a home.
The home we make together
Our memories, our joys, our lows.
The journey we go on.
Love is a journey.
The journey of body and mind.
Our coming together. Making love.
The love that we share.
The love that we share.
The journey we go on.
The place that I call home.
A place to love and be loved.
The (optional) task for Day 10 of National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) is to write a love poem. It is very plain and so not saucy, but I was in a hurry. And shy.
Love to you all.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.

Maybe corny but so true! Love this, Tracy.
And yes, you were very shy.

Thanks, Punam. 🙂
I knew I should have gone for the heaving bosom and turgid manhood references. Another time maybe.

Nor crude. So unlike me, Margaret.
Seriously though, thank you.

You did well, Tracy. But was counting on the heaving bosom and turgid manhood references…😆

Yes, that might not have made my TL laugh so hysterically. 🤣 Thanks, Lois.

Nice work. It made me think of writing a love poem, too, but Bear can’t read.

Thanks, Martha. My TL laughed. Bear would never do that! 🙊

She refuses to learn or involve herself with two dimensions at any time. Teddy is more flexible.

I think so. If she started reading, where would it end?

I think this is lovely. Is there a name for this particular form? I quite enjoyed it.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving the lovely comment, LuAnne. I’m not a poet so if this is a particular poetry form, I came upon it purely by accident.

Knowing why and where the words come from, it is quite beautiful 🙂

Thank you, Brian. On the other hand, my husband only read the first stanza and had to stop because he was laughing hysterically.

Thank you, Worms. I’ve noticed a similar reluctance among the poets.
