Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.

What a week it has been for everyone, particularly for my readers in America. Sometimes I am just awed by how extraordinary ordinary people are when they can agree to disagree but still work together for love of this world. For love.

Here’s a song made famous by Gladys Knight and The Pips. It is Midnight Train to Georgia. I’ve chosen a cover by some ordinary people and extraordinary musicians from Arizona, Outside The Line, to sing it for you. Have a dance, sing along, hold a hand.

Safe journey, everyone.

Kind Regards.
Tracy.

  1. This is a great cover of ‘’Midnight Train to Georgia.” The lead singer is excellent. My suggestion is sung by Frederica Von Stade “Bailero” Chants di Auvergne on YouTube.

    1. I thought she was excellent too.
I have never listened to Bailero before, nor Frederica Von Stade. How wonderful. Great music for sitting back and listening to with eyes closed. So peaceful and emotive. Thank you for the suggestion, Sid.

      1. I find Bailero very restful and not understanding what the lyrics convey allows me to clear my mind. Dame Kiri has a lovely recording of the Bailero also. Glad you liked my selection.

      1. Actually, my problem these days is being able to remember that illusive song that hovers at the edges of my consciousness – thank goodness for Google & Youtube search (although it sometimes takes forever to figure it out!)
