Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.
It shouldn’t be that hard, especially “in these difficult [Covid-19] times”. Helping each other. Working side by side. It’s what we do, right? For everyone? You know. The big T. Together.
Help me out here.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
Beautiful song and perfect choice, Tracy. ❤️

Me too, actually. But I didn’t want to sound maudlin…sigh

Not maudlin. Can’t help but be moved by that performance.

That’s true, but these days I am moved to tears very easily, so I thought it’s just me.

Ya know…..I saw your post title and immediately though: ‘Why is Tracy writing a post about Su’s husband?’ Tracy Chapman has the most wonderful voice. Perfect song, too.

Thought that might confuse a few people.
Of course, others might have thought I was being a bit political. :O

This is absolutely beautiful. I hadn’t heard her sing this before. I’m alone at home and this is pulsing and resonating right through my home. Thanks for sharing. xx

Thank you, Victoria. And me, you.
Can’t understand why Tracy Chapman is not a mega-star. Still, it would be horrible to live as a mega-star so it is probably for the best.

I like your Tracy Chapman selection. She is very popular in North America on the concert circuit but her genre of music categorizes her as a folk artist but she does not fit exactly in that category. I also like her song “Sorry.” I’ve never heard that song on any radio station. Such are the vagaries of radio programme directors who thought Tracy was not commercial enough. Ironic eh!

Yep, ironic. Still, there are other big, big folk legends …..
I love “Sorry” too.
If I heard one of Tracy’s songs on the car radio, firstly I would be pleasantly surprised, and then I would have to pull over to listen to it. 🙂

Wow. What a soulful rendition of the Ben E. King classic. Tracy Chapman has matured into a very beautiful woman. Her performance was sheer joy to watch. And of course it left it teary-eyed–but in the best possible way.
