A bird poem.
Here comes
the red-browed finch.
Here.
For the first time.
Today.
This day bathes
in your sweetness.

May your day be bathed in sweet little birds, readers.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.

They are great little birds. Very fast but sit still too 🙂

For some reason the little birds are using the bird bath now. Very unusual.
I had just cut back the kangaroo grass so that might have helped.

Yes it would. The little birds need good vision around to feel safe. I have mine near a bush so they have a quick and safe escape route

Beautiful shot, Tracy.
(I never get close enough to photograph these sweet little finches).

Tracy, those images brought a smile to my face and reading a different way of organising words [the one word lines] in a poem. It made those singular words more powerful. Brilliant.

Thank you, Suzanne. I write as I speak. Like a kid in a lolly shop. 🤣

Enthusiastically and fun 🙂 Not sure I write as I speak, I think I write “more proper” than my everyday speech 😉

The Red-browed Finch certainly looks very similar to the various kinds of waxbill we have locally, but it has a unique beauty of its own!
