Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.
Let’s get physical, ladies and gentlemen. No, that’s not the song.

To all the wags out there, feel free to hit me with all the pandemic and sporting metaphors that occur to you as a result of my tune choice this week. Extra points for Aussie ones. This video says it all about the last week. It’s Mr Bean and the London Symphony Orchestra performing Chariots of Fire. I’ll start. I jumped the gun by posting this on a Thursday evening instead of on Friday. What the heck, we need a break. Enjoy.
Stay safe and stay sane, everyone.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
Oh, Mr Bean–how you make me laugh! In a running mood, are we, Tracy?

I’m not a huge Mr. Bean fan, but this brought back such wonderful memories of a different time, a different UK. Thanks

Indeed.
But surely you must love my all time favourite sketch (the start of Mr Bean I think) which was called Not Enough Toilets (if I remember correctly) in Not the Nine O’Clock News? Perhaps that is because I have only one toilet in my home. I digress.

I WILL look for this, as it’s not ringing any kind of bell.

This video is hilarious! especially since the music is so inspiringly rendered; and in light of the Olympic frenzy.
It made me think of the percussionist who has a lone note to play during a piece. How he/she must school their expressions which Mr Bean so freely expresses.

Your image of the percussionist will stay with me now, Ju-Lyn. I hope I don’t smirk too much if I should happen to ever see another concert again.

And I will remember Mr Bean’s expressions for a long time to come ….
