Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.

The new hearing aides are driving me crazy. They itch. My concentration is even more shot than usual. I’m also afflicted with a new blogging glitch. I can’t comment on others’ blog posts. There is a time consuming work around which I won’t bore you with. Enough of my problems which are insignificant in the scheme of ruinous global conflict. Let’s sing instead.
My song today is dedicated to the internet, you, bitch. It is Fine Young Cannibals singing She Drives Me Crazy. Sing it with me. One, two, three, four ….
Have patience and be your most compassionate self, everyone.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
Yep, being patient and being compassionate with ourselves is great advice, Tracy. My hearing isn’t so grand and I’ve been told a hearing aid would be a good idea. I’m working on it, like you I may prefer hearing less.

Suzanne, I mainly got the hearing aids because I couldn’t hear the doctors in the hospital amongst all the beeping machinery. I decided there were some conversations I probably shouldn’t ignore.

Oh, Tracy, I didn’t realise your husband was still in hospital. I must have missed that information. Hopefully, he’s on the mend?

He has had three stays in hospital, the last visit for his surgery. He’s out now so the hearing aides are an insurance policy in case there is a next time.

Oh, you are having a trying time. Yip, singing may be the only answer.

Also, I might have to bung it on a bit to better match the song. π

It’s early days yet, Brian. It was a big investment so I didn’t go into it lightly.

I hope you’re able to adjust to the hearing aids soon, Tracy. Great choice of song for the end of the week. I’m always up for an ’80s flashback.

I hope so, Liz. In the meantime, let’s sing,!

I have always liked this song. My husband had his hearing tested and was told he doesn’t need hearing aids. Sometimes I think it’s better off he doesn’t have them so I can mutter under my breath when he STILL doesn’t hear what I’m saying. I so need to learn patience…

Perhaps he has selective hearing, Lois.

Thanks so much for this a blast from the past – I will have to dust off their album ‘ The Raw & the Cooked’ and rediscover them all over again π

How very appropriate that song is, given your present situation. Sorry about the hearing aid problem.
I have often wondered: do you have all these songs ready in your mins and can you find one to easily suit the occasion? Or do you have to search for one. As I would have to do.

Occasionally I research, Jane, especially if it is a classical piece or this century piece. Mostly the songs pop into my head. I grew up on Countdown so I have a lot of jingles in my head.

Hopefully, the hearing aid annoyances will settle down……eventually.
My hearing is less than 100% and about 18 years ago I had it tested, but thankfully I’ve never had to resort to hearing aids.
The weird thing is that I can hear the faintest bird sound emanating from a tree, but impossible to hear a friend sitting next to me in a crowded restaurant. Needless to say, I don’t have a social life at all these days, so the bird chorus is quite welcome.
I love the mosaic in your header. I had to complete the email & name to comment on your blog (as well as half the other blogs I follow) but can comment straight away on others. Seems to me that is something to do with the WordPress Theme we each use, more than a computer issue. You may find the problem right’s itself the next day (or even several days later). Same with pressing the LIKE button.
Technology is a total mystery to me. Give me a breath of nature and birdsounds any day π

Thanks, Vicki. I updated my browser recently which may account for some of the problems. Anyway, perhaps if I keep a low profile for a while, my problems might right themselves. The hearing aids feel much better. It is probably like breaking in new shoes.

I asked about your hearing aids on a previous post … and I have part of the answer here. Hang in there!!!!!
Gosh! I hope you manage to sort out the Comment issue – tech problems like these aggravate me disproportionately …

So pleased, Ju-Lyn.
I think I might slow down on the blogging and commenting for a bit. I need time to think.

The mosaic is a showstopper for sure! π
It takes time to adjust to the hearing aids.
Singing a bit late and off key. But what the heck! It’s Tuesday afternoon and I need to exercise my vocal chords! Take off your hearing aids for a minute. π
