Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you. Today I have also included a poem.
In the heavens,
Anointed by the family.
Pull the cord on sanity;
Embrace alternative reality.
Blanketed by conflagration of baleful stars
Stitched with celebrity, infamy and lies.
Confederacy of socialites, war lords,
conspiracy theorists and acolytes;
White, bright, furious,
Cheated and swollen red in dying.
Martyrs on fascism’s funeral pyre;
Hands on heart, on bible, on pussy,
So help us god.
Restore our right to coven.
Sinners – all good men –
Standing by and sucking oxygen.
Waste of space. Waste of air.
5G, 5G, 5G the final sound.
My song choice today is David Bowie’s Space Oddity. It seems apt, at least to me.
The Prime Minister of Australia was recently awarded a Legion of Merit by the US President for his leadership in addressing global challenges and promoting collective security. Apparently, our Prime Minister saw fit to accept the award.
As I am currently on holidays, I have turned off comments on this post.
Take care, ladies and gentlemen.
