Take me to the April sun in Canberra (pronounced Canbra).  In the words of George Eliot:

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”

Daylight savings has ended. so we sleep in another hour.

A gentle sun shines upon us — all yellow and burnished gold.

And deepens.

    1. Thank you, Sue. Foxes are very elusive in our part of the world and are rarely seen except for a brief flash. I think because we were upwind, the ducks were honking to wake the dead, and because there was a river and lots of foliage between it and us, we managed to sneak a photo.

  2. Gorgeous photos, Tracy, just gorgeous! Love the colour theme, so clever and artsy. 😄 The bees are wonderful, as are all the birds, but especially the pink cockatoos because I just love their colouring, and that beautiful fox! It’s just all so wonderful, I think I would walk around that landscape, gushing and smiling all the time. 😄

    1. Thank you, Sarah. We were pretty lucky to get that photo of the fox. I’ve never seen one going about its business before. The most we ever see are dead carcasses on the road or a quick flash as they dash off. Still, the place we saw it was enchanting so plenty of opportunity for gushing with or without our fox friend. 🙂

      1. There are supposedly hundreds of foxes in our city but I only ever saw one, and that was also more of a quick flash. But it left me with a huge smile on my face for hours afterwards. 😊

  3. At the risk of appearing totally unoriginal in my response — beautiful. I love the subtle colour transitions flowing through the images, and the tranquility they radiate.

  4. So inspiring an exceptional. All that warm autumn air and life teeming around you. The nuanced color, the light its own being in the photos, the composition a portal into other worlds. And the egret (heron?) reflected in the water, double beauty.Well done, Tracy.
