Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.
I’m dispensing with the big finale to 2021. I don’t have the energy for it. Congratulations if you survived 2021. Instead, I would like to dedicate my Friday song to my mum, who I haven’t seen for over three years. I hope to see my mum again next year.
The song I’ve chosen is Leo Sayer’s More Than I Can Say.
Say it loud, sing it often.
Take care, everyone.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
One of my favourite songs. How are you? My best wishes as we go forward …

Hello, Dawn. Nice to hear from you. Happy new year to you. I’m going well, as is the family. Christmas was quiet in isolation, but test results came back negative. I’m working on a complicated mosaic project. Hence, the lack of energy. It is a good distraction. I hope you are well and ready for 2022?

That’s prudent.

I don’t know what’s prudent anymore, Liz. It is more for my own selfish reasons. Too hot in summer for me where my mum lives. Similarly, my mum never visits me in winter. Too cold for her, lol.

You make a good point about not knowing what’s prudent anymore.

Great song, Tracy. I hope 2022 is a big turnaround year–a BIG one. And I hope you get to see your mum very soon.

Welcome, Marsha. That happens sometimes so I always include the name of the artist and the song in the text for those who want to plug the suggestion into their own systems.

We’ve definitely got plans, Martha. Makes me nervous when I think about what could happen in the meantime. The current strategy is to let the virus rip here.

I think that’s the strategy here, too. I guess if we’re all vaccinated it might not be a bad plan, but I’m so disgusted with humanity I don’t want to hang out with them on general principles. 😀

I know what you mean. I don’t understand why people are so obsessed with going to the pub and getting completely trashed and then post the photos on social media. Is this a way of normalising alcoholism? And don’t I sound like I’m in some sort of temperence league!

I don’t understand people, Tracy. I’ve gotten drunk at a few bars, and maybe if we’d had cell phones and social media I’d have posted my photo but I deeply doubt it. I think I’d have just lost my phone. 😀
