Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you.
How are you feeling today? Are you, like me, feeling sl…ee…py? No that’s not the song I picked for my Friday song day, although it would be very appropriate too. I’m sure you know the one I mean. Yep, I’m feeling oh so tired. Nope, it is not that song either. However, it does feel like I’ve been here for my whole life, never knowing home [and a decent night’s sleep]. In the words of the Little River Band, “I live for the day when I can hear people saying that they know and they care for everyone.”
It’s A Long Way There, so get out your air guitar and let’s get going.
Stay sane, stay kind and give everyone some breathing space.
Kind Regards.
Tracy
It appears word press felt you and I needed some space. Somehow, I was un-followed(if that is a word) from you! Love the music choice!

A couple of other readers have also told me that, Heather. I don’t know why that has happened. I just hope people are busy. Did you manage to ‘Follow again?

Lovely choice Tracey! Gotta be thrilled with LRB, hey? Hope you’re doing well, aside from feeling sleepy. Stay safe 🙂

Having a quiet day today, Linda. LRB woke me up. Love that tune.

Air guitar out of its air case and played along to this most excellent version of a song classic. It is indeed a long way there.

Glad you liked that, Liz. There is nothing like a bit of air guitar to take your mind off just how far there still is to go.

That makes me happy. The air guitar needs a workout every now and then. 🙂

Well enough, Su. I am better when I finally get my shoes on for a walk. I have contemplated going for a walk in my slippers to make it easier to get myself out the door. :s

I am always tired these days. I think it is a result of feeling so very overwhelmed, as so many of us are!

I didn’t know this band of song but they play such beautiful music, gets right to my heart and soul. How did I miss this one? Going to see if I can find more music by this band.

I think LRB gained some success in the US during the 70s and 80s, Sharon. But there has been a kerfuffle over the name. See https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/music/glenn-shorrock-is-trying-to-stop-the-american-version-of-little-river-band-from-appearing-on-us-tv/news-story/06d0cc7fddc8a33b58c4e36735e00f1b
I hope you can find the music featuring the original band members.

Yep, feeling very sleepy too, must be all that bad news from people misbehaving or ignoring the standard rules (lots of those lately here in Berlin). It’s a nice and sunny day today but with 20.000 people being out and about to demonstrate against corona (as if that makes any sense when their own actions make the numbers increase), I decided to stay home and enjoy it from my balcony. Great song!

Good plan, Sarah. I fear this will not end well. Are you back at school this week?

School starts next week but I’ll have a talk with the headmistress this week about it. No idea where this will go.
