For the Lens-Artists Weekly Challenge — Delicate Colours.
Delicate Balance
I cannot reconcile
the good with the bad
the strong with the weak
the soft with the hard
the rich with the poor
the young with the old
the delicate with the unbreakable
the dark with the light
the merciful with the merciless
or the start with the finish.
I just can’t. So I will wait —
small, lost — in your delicate folds.
Until the colour fades away.
Kind Regards.
Tracy
did you write that poem, Tracy? Beautiful, with equally beautiful photos.

Thank you, Tina. I wasn’t going to include the pink windflower so I am so pleased that you like it. I find images great inspiration for writing. Wish it didn’t take a half century to learn that nifty trick. 🙂

Tracy, that was a lovely poem, and those photos had the wow factor. Especially the hydrangea. The blues are so gorgeous, and they remind me of my Nana’s place. I too, have grown them.

The hydrangea photo is my favorite, too.

Thank you, Suzanne. The hydrangeas don’t grow well in our hot summers. This year we got only one huge, beautiful flower from that plant, and in was in quite a shady spot. The blues are beautiful. Your Nana had good taste.

Your photos are always gorgeous, and that holds true for all of these. But your poem is exceptional. You made me feel I was walking on the spine of the world.

Thank you, Su. I’m quite startled how much people have appreciated the poem and photos.
By the way, we only got one massive flower from that hydrangea plant and none from the other backyard hydrangea. It is getting too hot for them here.

That’s a shame about the hydrangea. I think I’ve killed the smaller of my two road-trip plants, but the larger seems ok.

Although delicate the colours are beautiful and I love your poem and photos, and especially your first photo with the ant and bluey/greeny colours – unusual and very striking! Awesome.

Thank you so much, Liz. The ants were very busy so I thought I would take their photo while they were preoccupied with their activity.
