Welcome to my regular Friday song/tune day, ladies and gentlemen, where I pick a piece of music that reflects my mood or the times, to share with you. I hear that singing is good for the lungs. You can do it in the privacy of your own home, in a massed choir, or anywhere really. It is multicultural and multi-generational.
Anonymous Doctor:
“Please don’t give in to fear, don’t amplify hatred or outrage or racism or disgust. Hold the line as a citizen of the moral community. Think of every tiny way that you can help others every day. And do it.”
Facts first. Act. Sing/Pray.
Anything else is inhumanity.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
Beautiful choice..so full of emotion…humanity first, always…

” Hold the line as a citizen of the moral community”.
Difficult to do when it seems like the ones who should be leading by example, are leading without a moral compass. But life, love, morals and principles will prevail.

It’s a message to myself as much as anyone else. I did not write it though. 🙂
I tend to slip quite a lot and get into the blaming. I know I am a much better person when I am kind to others.

The song, the video, the words, the rose…just what is required to soothe the heart. Thanks, Tracy. ❤️

Thank you, Punam. It is a good antidote to the rascist dog whistling that abounds at the moment.

Great choices, love Puccini, and Bocelli does it so well. That photo is so full of life! and I so agree with the quote and your thought too.

Thank you, Paul. The roses are so beautiful at the moment at least in my part of the world. I feel like I’ve entered this dream-like state, where the animals, birds and plants have been freed of constraint while we humans are now trapped by the weight of our own ambitions. Gee, how poetic!

Poetic indeed – now write it up and post it :). Yes, we are under the weight of our ambitions. It always amazes me that we never factor nature in. We always seem surprised when nature is nature.

Do you think we should let nature take its course?

In my darker moods I do, but no, I believe we are a species who can work together to find ways through crises. I think the three conservative leaders in the world think like that though.

I don’t we should either.
