Wherever you may be, tread lightly, make haste slowly and be kind.
Flowers.
Bees.
Yuin country.

Thanks Lois. It was incredible to see the swarm up close. Luckily they seem to have settled for the night and were gone next morning when I went to check on them.

Magnificent photos!! Kudos to your True Love. What type of flower is that? It’s a perfect spiral!

The flower had an amazing design, Liz. I couldn’t identify the flower in my flower book. It could be local to the area or some type of weed.

Hmm, maybe a flower that beautiful doesn’t need a name. It can just remain an object of wonder.

If I find out the name, Liz, I will let you know. I’m curious too, so the ID is a WIP.

It is a little Aussie native, Liz. A scaly button (Leptorhynchos squamatus).

A scaly button! I wonder if it’s related to bachelor button.

OMG those layers of bees!!! I guess we do need them but keep me far away please!

They seem to have settled for the night, Tina. I think they must have swarmed earlier in the day and were looking for a new home. We had a telephoto lens but we still got pretty close to them.

Yes, we were so lucky to see them once the bee swarm had settled for the night. We should have called an apiarist but we didn’t think about that until dark and they were gone next morning.

Thank you, Amy. The macro and bee photos were taken with a telephoto lens, Amy. It was all we had on us at the time. 🙂 Plus, best not get too close to bees that are swarming.

Thank you, Su. I like making stories and that is made much easier with such lovely photos to chose from. Btw, I used my Changing Season’s photos so my post may be quite short this month.😁

That will make two of us I think. The weather here is pants, and I’ve hardly been out to take photos.

Thanks Suzanne. It was a treat to see how they all clung together around the new Queen bee to protect her. I hope they found a home.

Thank you, Sarah. I will pass on your compliment. I’m wondering if I should do a bee mosaic or a mosaic of a different type of insect. Still thinking about it.
