Ladies and Gentlemen, there has been a death in the family and fears tears before bedtime.
For weeks now, we have been nurturing two huntsman spiders.
Here is one posing as a fridge magnet.
We were admiring one this evening when suddenly the spider lost its balance and fell onto the floor. We tried to get to it before Fynnie the rat-eating dog. It was horrendous. It was frightening. Alas, we were too late and the spider was slain. It’s a dog eat spider world. Fynn is a dog of diverse tastes.
There is only one thing to do. You guessed it. Release the Kraken. (Sorry, that’s another program). Interpretative dance. Join me and release your inner dog, bitch or spider.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.

Beautiful spider. Is he fuzzy? Loved the music choice so fitting, very funereal for the situation.

More like suede, Heather. Real beauties.
One is never sure who is the prey. 🙂

Yikes!! Didn’t scroll fast enough! 😂 Although I know that the Huntsman is one of few not deadly poisonous spiders. Still – good dog! 😉
And what a song!! I’ve watched the movie with Tom Cruise a few years ago and still have nightmares! 😂 So it’s a perfect fit for your loss in my mind. 😉

I haven’t seen that movie. The soundtrack is scary enough for me. I can understand why the Orson Welles radio broadcast in 1938 caused mass hysteria.

I’ve read about that mass hysteria and can only understand it too well!!

Spooky – don’t think I could listen to this more than once, so I’ve already achieved my goal.
Sorry for your spidery loss, Tracy. I think there are more.

What! Not even for the interpretative dance? 🙂 It is one of our go-to CDs for long car trips. A lot of air guitar happens in the car.

I enjoyed every part of this sad story; I hope your other spider is alive and well

We have an insecticide free, Dominque, so we will probably get more spidery visitors. No cockroach is safe when they are around.
