Who would have thought a song challenge would get the ol’ grey matter working? It is Day 4 of the 30 Days, 30 Songs! challenge. This challenge is hosted by Sarah from Art Expeditions.
Woo, Woo.
Sarah’s pick for today is dark — fun, but dark. She has chosen Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones. Nice. I can work with that. So are you ready for another song, ladies and gentlemen? Let’s take a walk to the edge of town.
It is not too late to join the Challenge. Casual players welcome. Click here to create a pingback to Sarah’s Day 4 post.
Too many songs, so little time.
Kind Regards.
Tracy.
A little Lou Reed-ish. I like it!

Never heard this before…a wee bit dark, but I love these lines…
You’re one microscopic cog
In his catastrophic plan
Designed and directed by
His red right hand

I love those lines too. Some people are so clever. Such wicked lyrics.

Check out ‘ Into My Arms ‘. I thought I might use that one for the challenge, but when you posted the Stones song, I changed my mind.

Bryan Ferry did a very hard version of this in the ’70s, brilliant!

I thought Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds wrote the song in 1994. Was this another song written around the same premise? Have you got a link, Jenny? I would love to check it out.

Maybe too much trouble with a poor dog who doesn’t feel good. 😦 I hope what’s ahead makes Ama feel better.

I hope so. I wish I had someone to hold my hand. I think the vet is learning as he goes too.

😦 I wish I had something helpful to say, but I don’t except I know how heartrending it can be to worry about a dog you love that isn’t doing well and no one knows why, exactly.

It’s quite a dark and rather violent show, but engrossing too.

Enjoy your long weekend! It is finally warm and sunny here in Montreal. I have been catching up on my blog reading indeed as you noticed and I plan to spend some times in my garden too. Simple life but taking the time to enjoy what’s around us, that to me is what life’s about. Always a pleasure to read you Tracy. 🙂
