I am over-achieving on my posting schedule at the moment. But who can resist when inspiration strikes?

I think I may be getting the hang of these little poems. Thanks to fellow Ragtag contributors, Frank Prem and Xenia Tran for the inspiration. In case you didn’t already know, they’ve both got new books.
Kind Regards
Tracy.

Lovely flower — what is it?

I was afraid something would ask that question. I don’t actually know. It was the first time I had seen one like that, so my wonderment was not feigned!

Hi Tracy, lovely photo and poem. This appears to be a Dracophyllum species. We have them in NZ and you have some that are endemic to Australia. Some may occur in both countries. Take a look at the similarity with my post Curly Character at https://exploringcolour.wordpress.com/2017/09/01/curly-character/ Maybe yours and mine are the same species with mine being at a later stage where the flowers are already gone.
