Love this photo.. By a strange coincidence, I spent many minutes photographing a small snail shell I found on the ledge of the pool today. I’m pretty sure the snail was dead, but the shell was intriguing.
I think my snail was dead too, Judy. It was quite a heavy shell and in good condition. The snail probably died inside the shell. It was quite beautiful. Tracy.
Mine I thought was dead, too, but very small. I left it on the outside table just in case . If alive, it must be wondering who left the nice flowers.. ha. But, I see it is still there so sure it is just a shell.
Thank you, Paul. How very nice of you to say so. My love and I have been having such a wonderful holiday. Sometimes the smallest things provide the greatest joy. Regards. Tracy.
A great shot of a spiral!

Thank you. It’s funny how one finds these objects just when they are needed.

Well noticed. And that weathered bark provides a perfect foil to the smooth whorls of the snail.

Thank you, Margaret. We found the snail shell in a dry creek bed among some dead, old trees. They seemed to go together.

It’s beautiful, Tracy and I also love the composition as a whole and the contrast between the wood and the snail shell.
