This is my response to the Ragtag Daily Prompt of 11 July 2018 — Dappled.
Immerse yourself in the sun and shade. Paradise or paradise lost?
Kubla Khan
by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round;
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

Thank you, Steph. I’m struggling with words at the moment. Fortunately, it has all been said before me. 🙂

Lovely images Tracy. Sometimes reading others’ words can be a nudge towards writing our own.

Thank you, Su. I love that cross-fertilisation of ideas. Writing deadlines though, even self-imposed ones ……aagghh! 🙂

😀 I know. I’ve worked most of my professional life in writing jobs and struggle endlessly with empty pages and a ticking clock.

Thank you, Pauline. I took those photos on my crappy old phone. I couldn’t believe that they turned out so well. Often I can’t see what is on the screen so I tap and hope for the best. 🙂 These were taken in the rain-forest section of the Australian National Botanic Gardens.

I thought they may have been up north in the rainforests. The phone did very well
