This is my response to the Ragtag Daily Prompt of 4 July 2018 — Resurrect.
It seems to me that without music we have nothing; we are nothing. For many of us, it is central to our cultural identity and our personal identity. Music defines me as a person and has the power to move me to tears. It feeds my soul, providing a spiritual healing. Music has been used to signal the commencement of battles, send coded messages and commemorate the dead. I can’t think of a country that does not have a national anthem. It can be a symbol of revolution and protest. Music makes anything seem possible, even a new world, where we can live together in peace. Make music not war.
Dvořák 9th Symphony, Mov II (Clarinet, Oboe, & English Horn)

Dvorak No. 9 is my best classic symphony. I clearly remember how it was sensational to the sense of 10 years old of me!

🙂 Well you had good taste as a 10 year old, Makiko. It is quite a magical piece. Do you play an instrument, Makiko?
